His wages mean it's unlikely we'd get much for him.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
at the time he was a good signing, however it appears the length of the deal was 1 year too long. all depends on what he thinks in the summer really. he's already a multi millionaire, so does he want to stew on the bench, or play first team football.

if he continues on the bench i can see him leaving on loan in jan.

He wasn't an ageing squad player when we signed him. He was a 29 year old (fairly important) first team player bought in for leadership as much as goals.

His alleged wages were/are high, though if reports are accurate.

We won't pay Reid 75k a week but are more than happy to give an aging squad player 60k a week, great business...........

His weight in gold

Which is quite a lot...

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
Reckon we could get about a mill for him but would think realistically he'll just go on a free at the end of his deal or join the coaching staff here.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
QPR might be mug enough to put in a double bid for him and Carroll in January. Couple of mill for Nolan and 10 mill for his mate. Might work for both clubs.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
Can't see why we would want rid. Good squad player. Why is it when things are going well there are people who want to destabilise and weaken the team by getting rid of people

How would it weaken the team? We haven't scored a goal when he's been on the pitch this season. We've still got £60k a week to pay him up until the end of next season, so if we have a chance to get rid and save ourselves that money and free up funds to strengthen in other areas then we should go for it.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
The bloke is on 60bags a week with nearly two years to run on his deal he won't get that anywhere else and zero chance of a championship club paying it
He'll be here till the end of his contract

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
not good enough to play 90 mins at this level as he doesn't offer enough BUT great option to have on the bench and come on and nick a goal.

KEEP

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
He would have to drop down in wages

Only QPR would buy

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
£2m maximum but more than likely if we were moving him on which we won't the club would accept a notional fee of £500k or even let him go on a free!

That's just my opinion of course

IMO he is worth more to the team than what he would be valued anyway.

Maybe the madmen that run Leeds or Cardiff would be willing to fork out a couple of million, but I don't think he's worth much.

I said I reckoned a promotion chasing side may splash £2m - £3m on him in January as a gamble to get them the important goals that could see them promoted.

Another bloke said we could get £4m and another said fuck all.

Just wondered what the thoughts on here were.
